Defense! I received my undergraduate and law degree from the University of Utah. I got my first Not Guilty
jury verdict in a DUI trial before graduating from law school. I went on to become the first 3rd year law student to
be excluded from third year practice because the Salt Lake City Attorney's office refused to continue to give consent
for me to appear. (They claimed I was unethical and that I was not civil, I think otherwise) I went into private
practice straight out of law school focusing my practice on criminal defense, but primarily DUI's. I have completed
both the NHTSA student SFST Course as well as the SFST Instructor Course (and have found nothing better to beat up officers
than their own training). I am a member of the National College of DUI Defense (NCDD) and recently became the youngest
lawyer ever to pass the NCDD/ABA Board Certification Exam for Board Certification in DUI Defense. In the four years
I have practiced law I have handled over 400 DUI cases. My fastest not guilty verdict in a DUI case was 5 minutes and
I even got a directed verdict against a 19 year veteran UHP trooper. I find defending DUI's a challenge and have
heard no sweeter phrases than "MOTION GRANTED", "CASE DISMISSED" and of course "NOT GUILTY!"
